Smart Home Facility Manager
Description
Smart homes have long been cluttered with isolated gadgets that offer little meaningful integration or long-term value. Modern smart homes enable devices that create value together with universal control panels. However, smart home as a concept should be something that serves its habitants, creating value in the everyday life. What if instead of managing individual devices, your home could manage itself? With advancements in AI and computer vision, homes could become proactive spaces that understand their condition, anticipate maintenance needs, and enhance your daily living.
There are already tools for scanning a home and creating a low-threshold digital twin of a home. How might such digital twin be enriched with additional information to provide true value? Could AI be harnessed as a proprietary facility manager for any home? How should such home assistant that functions as a proactive facility manager—overseeing home upkeep, scanning for wear and tear, and adding everyday quality of life be like?
This project aims to create real value in trending smart home field, which often lacks the true value creation. As the end results, demonstrations of user flows, Uis and operational logics are expected as the igniters for bringing the real smart in smart homes.
